Local Attractions
Just behind the camp there are some magnificent bush walks and bike trails where you can enjoy the native bush and beautiful birds. Only a short 10-minute walk away is the marina which is always pleasant for fishing, boating, wakeboarding and water-skiing.
We have lived in the area for many years now and have a vast knowledge to share with you.
If you’re passing through with a little time to spare, there are several nice boat trips out to the Sounds. There is a dolphin watching/swimming trip or a birdwatcher special.
Water taxi boats can drop you off at the famous Queen Charlotte Track, and to satisfy the wine connoisseur, there is a variety of wine tours to choose from.
For family time or joining in with other park visitors, there is the popular BBQ area at the park, or a drink and a meal to be enjoyed at the Jolly Roger Bar/Cafe on Marina Terrace.
We can advise you on all the local activities and can book day trips on your behalf.
